'Shake, Rattle & Roll' 15 features Robinsons snake legend

Erich Gonzales has been selected to portray the mythical twin snake of Robinsons Malls heiress in the latest incarnation of the horror-thriller franchise "Shake, Rattle & Roll."

The film, which will compete in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival, is inspired by an '80s Manila urban legend about a monster twin of a rich scion who abducts and eats beautiful women in the secret chambers of dressing and fitting rooms of a shopping mall.

Producers Lily and Roselle Monteverde said, however, that the project with the working title "Ahas" will not be based or bear similarities with true-to-life personalities and situations.

For one, the original creature in the mall story is half-male, half-snake preying on attractive girls. Gonzales will play a dual role as a normal woman with a twin snake-woman.

Playing Gonzales' leading man is JC de Vera.
