QUESTION AND ANSWER PORTION

Risa Hontiveros: "Do you think that we, human beings, have been good children to Mother Earth?"
Miss Cebu City: "Honestly, in my opinion, we haven’t been good children. In fact, I believe that we are the number one cause of her problems, we are the reason why we're having climate change, and we are the reason why we're having floods. But in return, if we can only help her and salvage her, she will help us back and take care of us too."

Atty. Angela Ibay: "If you are faced with a skeptic, how would you explain and convince that person about climate change?"
Miss Tanauan City: "I will tell him that climate change is truly happening since time immemorial, it is a long overdue issue. And that is why, as stewards of the environment, every day we should be committed in thinking twice... we should check the alternatives on what we can do so we can lessen our carbon footprints and in the long run, we can be a part of the solution of solving this long overdue issue of climate change."

Jasper Evangelista: "If you were to change one thing about the Philippines, what would it be and why?"
Miss Dumaguete City: "Honestly, I would like to change the mindset of the people. It's true that we have a beautiful country and that’s one thing I am proud of. But sometimes, the people aren’t that effective when it comes to the environment…They do not know the value of what we have in the Philippines. If I would change something, I would like to teach them how great we can be."

Cherie Gil: "If you are tasked to educate the children of our country about caring for the environment, what would be the first most important thing you would do?"
Miss Gapan City: "The first most important thing that I would do is share my awareness with the environmental issues that we are facing today because if we take care of Mother Nature just like our mothers, it will take care of us back."

Richard Peter Michael: "How important to you are your parents' opinions on someone you're dating and why?"
Miss Dinalupihan, Bataan: "My parents' opinion is very important to me because they are the ones who nurtured me since birth and whatever that I do is for my parents. And whatever it is I am supposed to do is for my parents also that is why it is important to me to find a man that would take care of me just like what  my parents do."

Christopher de Leon: "What do you think is the greatest environmental problem in our country today?"
Miss Dueñas, Iloilo: "The greatest problem that we are facing right now is people's action because I believe that we are part of the ecosystem. If there is awareness, there must also be an action. For us to take the environment. So for me, people's action with awareness."

Jojo Tagbo: "What is your stand on the use of paper bags to replace plastic bags as an alternative?"
Miss Cainta, Rizal: "It's a very important thing. Plastic is not biodegradable. It stays with the environment for a long period of time."

Paolo Abrera: "If you could live in the past or future, which would you choose and why?"
Miss Liloan, Cebu: "I would choose to live in the past because we have a lot of things that are already harmful in the environment such as the things that we did that are now happening in the environment now. We can change in the past and with that, we can have a better future."

Marlon Stockinger: "What would you do to improve disaster preparedness?"
Miss Sta. Rita, Pampanga: "By jusy simply applying my advocacy: the 3Rs - Reduce, reuse, recycle. I want to encourage people to do it as well, as what we are doing in our municipality, to protect our Mother Earth. The nation that destroys is destroyed."

Esra Cankorur: "If you were given the chance to choose next slogan for the Department of Tourism, which one and why?"
Miss Fil-Sydney Australia: "It would be promoting our people. One thing that I pride myself of being a representative of the international community is that we are very beautiful people who have such a big heart for our community, our own kababayans, and for our environment and for Mother Earth."
