After making his movie debut in the blockbuster film "My Little Bossings," James "Bimby" Yap Jr. will again be joining the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) but this time with comedian Vice Ganda.
In an interview on Sunday, May 18, Kris Aquino confirmed that the 7-year-old boy will be part of the sequel to Vice Ganda's "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin" for director Wenn V. Deramas.
For this year's MMFF, Aquino will be competing with her son and good friend since she will be doing the sequel of her hit 2004 horror film "Feng Shui" with actor Coco Martin also for the annual Christmas film fest.
In a recent interview, "Be Careful with My Heart" star Richard Yap also said he will join the cast of "Praybeyt Benjamin 2"
Meanwhile, Alex Gonzaga was told of her role in the Vice Ganda-starrer during her contract-signing with the ABS-CBN film arm, with reporters and TV crew catching her reaction.
No less than Star Cinema head Malou Santos informed Gonzaga of the project.
Returning to face reporters, Gonzaga quipped:
Sasabihin ko na po, hindi niyo na po mababawi!
As if to make sure she has secured the part, Gonzaga emphasized that the news came from Santos herself, and that she has proof of the announcement with TV cameras rolling.
Deramas announced on Twitter that “The Voice Kids” grand winner Lyca Gairanod is now part of the MMFF 2014 entry.
Gairanod’s inclusion in the film was proposed by lead star Vice Ganda, who mentioned it during her appearance on “Gandang Gabi Vice” last August 10. She appeared on the show with fellow “The Voice Kids” finalists Darren Espanto, Juan Karlos Labajo, and Darlene Vibares.
