ABS-CBN's original reality show 'I Do' features 9 couples looking for a head start on married life

ABS-CBN has released the full trailer for "I Do," its new reality TV series featuring 9 couples looking for a head start on married life.

The extended preview gives a closer look at the "I Do" village in Cavite where the couple-contestants will live for the duration of the show. It also gives the first glimpse of the couples' faces.

"I Do" will be hosted by Judy Ann Santos with comedian Jason Gainza as her co-host.

Throughout the competition, the couples will be guided by life coach Pia Acevedo, pyschologist and marriage counselor Dr. Julian Montano, as well as Santos, herself a wife of five years with two children.

Santos has been married to host-actor Ryan Agoncillo for five years and her own experiences as a wife and mother will be put to good use in "I Do."

"Parang mate-test dito ang power ko sa pag-a-advise. Nakakatuwa na pagkatiwalaan ka ng isang ganitong klaseng show na wala pang nakakagawa. So it's fun, but at the same time, it's a test sa akin kung kakayanin ko ba."

According to Santos, "I Do" is an original reality show of ABS-CBN, which has scored several hits with franchised versions of foreign shows such as "Pinoy Big Brother" and "The Voice of the Philippines."

"It's actually to inspire people na kailangan kilalanin muna nila ang ka-partner nila for the rest of their lives. So nandito kami to guide them kung ano talaga ang proseso kung halimbawang naging mag-asawa sila. Ang pagpapakasal ay hindi parang buy-one-take-one sa isang department store. It's a vow na kailangang panindigan," she stressed, noting that the show will have marriage councilors, who will tell the contestants about the harsh realities of married life."

Santos pointed out the Cavite village was created just for the show.

The winning couple, which will be determined through a series of challenges that will test and strengthen the contestants' relationships, will be given P1 million and a house, in addition to their dream wedding.

Santos describes the complexity of the show as "Pinoy Big Brother" multiplies five times since there are several houses for the contestants, each monitored by 11 cameras.

"I Do" will premiere later this month.
