Please help the Philippines - A Citizens' Plea

It is all over the news - super typhoon Yolanda destroyed the Visayas region of my country, the Philippines.

As much as I am so thankful that Yolanda never brought a single rain drop in our part of the country, it pains me to watch the almost (if not totally) devastated lives of my countrymen.

As much as I want to help financially, I am not yet earning a single cent. I am trying to ask some friends to buy me an ABS-CBN fundraising shirt (250php only) as my simple way of helping out financially atleast. And though I cannot give off help through money, I am with them spiritually. My prayers go all the way out to the survivors (yes, they are not victims!) of the deadly typhoon. Also with this post I hope to knock in your humble hearts to ask help for my beloved country.

Given this time, I would like to plead for you (yep, you’re reading this) to Please Help The PHILIPPINES! I am knocking, pleading on behalf of my fellowmen to please reach out if you can. Whatever kind of help will be appreciated (even a single prayer would do).

Here are some of the active organizations that you could contact in case you would want to help:

World Vision (
Philippine Red Cross (
Alagang Kapatid Foundation (
Unicef (
Sagip Kapamilya

GMA Kapuso Foundation (

We, Filipinos, are known for being positive amidst crisis; known to keep a smile for survival. But right now, we need as much help as the world could give so we could stand and rebuild our lives again.

Wherever you are. Whatever you do. Whoever you’re with. Please Help The PHILIPPINES!
