Alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles was rushed to the hospital early Thursday, a police official said.

Senior Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP-PIO spokesman, said Napoles was rushed to Southern Luzon Hospital in Sta. Rosa City at 1:20 a.m., but was also returned to her detention facility at Fort Sto. Domingo in Laguna at around 3:30 a.m.

He said the initial finding was that Napoles had "stones in the ureter."

Sindac said according to Napoles' security escorts in Fort Sto. Domingo, Napoles complained of pain and was suffering from nausea and vomiting.

Napoles is currently detained for the serious illegal detention charge filed by her former assistant and pork barrel scam primary whistle-blower Benhur Luy.

On Nov. 7, she is to face the Senate investigation into the pork barrel scam, where she is accused of setting up fake non-government organizations to siphon funds from lawmakers' Priority Development Assistance Fund.
