ABS-CBN mounts a star-studded two-day event with fun and meaningful activities for people from all walks of life in the historic “Kwento ng Kasiyahan: The Grand Kapamilya Weekend” this Saturday (Oct 5) and Sunday (Oct 6) to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Philippine television.

Fireworks display ends Kapamilya Grand Weekend



ABS-CBN's Kapamilya Grand Weekend ended with a bang at the Quezon Memorial Circle in Quezon City Sunday night.

To close the two-day celebration of ABS-CBN's 60 years of Philippine television, the fans were treated to a five-minute grand fireworks display.

Comedians take center stage in Kapamilya KTV

Popular Kapamilya comedians wowed the crowd with their performances and antics during the Kapamilya KTV.

The event, which was held in Quezon City Memorial Circle on Sunday, was the last event for the Grand Kapamilya Weekend.

Kapamilyas run for Pasig River

Thousands joined the Quezon City leg of the “One Run, One Philippines” on Sunday morning.

“One Run, One Philippines: Isang Bayan Para sa Kalikasan” is a simultaneous eco-run that aims to raise awareness for the various advocacies in the Philippines.

Simultaneous fun runs occurred in five cities – Quezon City, Davao, Cebu, Bacolod, and Los Angeles.

The Quezon City leg of the run, also known as “Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig,” aims for the rehabilitation of esteros in Metro Manila.

To date, 16 esteros in Metro Manila have been successfully rehabilitated as a result of the fun run.

Kapamilya news executives and stars joined the “One Run, One Philippines,” while members of the AFP and PNP participated in the 15K run that started at Rockwell in Makati.
