In a rare moment, “The Voice of the Philippines” coach Lea Salonga performed with Grammy-winning jazz artist Patti Austin on the TV talent contest’s live show on Sunday at Resorts World Manila.

Salonga came onstage first with Austin’s hit “If I Believe” backed up by the “Voice” contestants before introducing the visiting international star, who joined her onstage amid shrieks from the surprised audience. They then sang a duet on Austin’s song “In My Life.”

Austin is in the country for a series of concerts. She and jazz artist George Benson had a concert last week. – “The Voice of the Philippines,” September 8, 2013
