2013 FIBA Asia Championships: Gilas Pilipinas beats Saudi Arabia

 
Gilas Pilipinas endured some testy moments but still came out on top of Saudi Arabia, 78-66, in the 27th FIBA Asia Men's Championship at the Mall of Asia Arena Thursday night.
 
Aymam Almuwallad led all scorers with 18 points for Saudi Arabia, while Mohammed Almarwani finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds despite hurting his knee in the first half.
 
Saudi Arabia attempted 38 free throws, making 25 of them, as Gilas Pilipinas was called for 30 fouls.
 Gilas Pilipinas is bracketed in Group A of the tournament with Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Chinese-Taipei.
