Maricel Soriano and Eugene Domingo topbill Star Cinema’s "Momzillas"

Maricel Soriano and Eugene Domingo’s upcoming movie, “Momzillas,” produced by Star Cinema is set to release on September 18, 2013 in cinemas nationwide.

Soriano shared details about one of her two upcoming big-screen projects.

Previously titled, ‘Oh My Mamma Mia,’ the Wenn Deramas-directed film co-stars Billy Crawford and Andi Eigenmann.

Explaining the plot of the story, Soriano said she and Domingo play the respective mothers of Crawford and Eigenmann, whose characters are planning to get married.

Star Cinema hasn’t released the official trailer yet.

In January this year, Soriano was involved in a reported on-set tension during the filming of the upcoming ABS-CBN drama series "Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamamahalin."

Then set to portray lead actor Gerald Anderson's mother -- which was billed as her comeback role on TV -- Soriano was eventually replaced by actress Dawn Zulueta, following a mutual agreement among the camps involved.

In the comedy film "Boy, Girl, Bakla, Tomboy," Soriano portrays the mother of quadruplets portrayed by comedian Vice Ganda. The two stars, who are co-starring for the first time, will also be joined by veteran actor Gabby Concepcion.
