Super Sireyna 2013 "Kim Chiu" Francine Garcia in photo scandal

Nude photos of the recently crowned Super Sireyna Queen of Queens of Eat Bulaga went viral online right after winning the said pageant.

Someone uploaded the photos on a fake Facebook account “Franxa Garcia” which was immediately taken down.

At least 8 scandal photos allegedly of the Super Sireyna winner can be seen in the said Facebook account.

Below is the official statement of Eat Bulaga and Tape Inc. regarding Francine Garcia’s dethronement:

“Eat Bulaga and Tape Inc. is bound by the rules to maintain the integrity and credibility of the pageant “Super Sireyna”.

“Super Sireyna” was created to uplift the image of the LGBT Community in the Philippines particularly the Transgenders/Transsexuals sector. To empower them. To create an impression that is acceptable to the society. To become a good role model not only to the LGBT community but to everyone in general.

We regret to inform everyone that our Public Relations Office received numerous complaintsabout Ms. Garcia’s wrongful doings both in the past and present time. These complaintswere solidified with evidences such as photos and videos. However, no further details will provided to the public as a sign of respect to Ms Garcia.

After a thorough deliberation, the management made a heartbreaking decision to dethrone Ms. Garcia. A true Super Sireyna should possess qualities of a true queen. Classy and decent. She should set a good example to everyone.

We admire Ms. Garcia for her courageous act in admitting the circumstances surrounding the scandal, but we also have to render fair judgment on the grounds of MISCONDUCT by stripping her of the title.

This decision is rendered with finality and the Eat Bulaga Management and Tape Inc. stands by it.”

MEET: Carlos A. Santos-Viola - The man behind the Iglesia Ni Cristo church designs

Carlos Antonio Santos-Viola was one of the very first graduates of the College of Architecture of the University of Santo Tomas in 1935.

Notably, Carlos passed and placed 10th in the board examination for architects in 1938.

He also taught architecture at the college where he graduated, and helped found the Philippine Institute of Architects in 1938.

Santos-Viola worked in the office of Juan Nakpil after graduating.

He is best known for designing and building churches for the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) religious group.

His designs were primarily based on functionality that was built with integrity, adorned with 20th Century geometric forms garnished with Gothic and Baroque lines.

His first exposure to the INC group was executed under Juan Nakpil's company through the Bishop's Palace in San Juan, Manila. INC gave the subsequent project directly to Santos-Viola.

Carlos was a lifelong devout Roman Catholic. He ministered for the Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Quezon City and was frequently invited to join the INC but repeatedly denied the invitations due to ideological differences.

Before ‪"My Husband's Lover‬," there was "Tubog sa Ginto"

GMA 7 presents the most provocative drama series of the network via “My Husband’s Lover.” This highly-dramatic and intriguing soap opera tackles true to life relationships. But before the gay-themed soap opera, there was a landmark film "Tubog sa Ginto."

WATCH: ‘My Husband’s Lover’ Trailer

Originally, Tubog sa Ginto is a serialized drama komiks novel written by Mars Ravelo, illustrated by Elpidio Torres and published in the pages of Tagalog Klasiks in 1970. The komiks became controversial because it was the first time that a respected komiks writer touched homosexuality. Undoubtedly one of Ravelo's masterpiece in writings, it was a no holds-barred view of the topic of homosexuality, as seen from the pen of a talented writer.

Watch "Tubog sa Ginto" as posted on YouTube:

Tubog sa Ginto was adapted into film by Lea Productions in 1971. It was director Lino Brocka's third film, and it showcases Brocka's innate skill in filmmaking.

The film starred Eddie Garcia as Don Benito, a millionaire who is married to Donya Emma which was portrayed by Lolita Rodriguez, and has a son named Santi, Jay Ilagan. Unknown to his family, Don Benito is a homosexual and he was having an affair with the family driver, Diego, Mario O'Hara. Don Benito tries so hard to keep up his straight man facade, afraid of being outed and scandalized, until Diego decides to black mail him for money. Don Benito gives in to all of Diego's demands but alas, his problems would only pile up as his true self was revealed to his family. This changed his life and his relationships with the people around him, and eventually led to tragedy.

Lino Brocka and Eddie Rodriguez each received a statuette from the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences in 1971 for their excellent work in the film.
