CineFilipino 2013 Film Festival - Short Film Category

 
CineFilipino has released the final list for its Short Film category.
 
 
These ten short films will be showcased in the upcoming film festival, along with the eight competing feature-length movies that CineFilipino announced earlier this year.
 
 
Here are the films for the Feature-Length Film category:
 
"MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS" by Bor Ocampo
  
 
The film is a commentary on the current state of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) leaving their homeland for economic reasons. It explores the ambivalent position of OFW’s towards the ones they left behind and the separation anxiety that transcends to their identity as Filipinos.  
 
"ONANG" by JE Tiglao 
 
A 12-year-old girl named Onang (Yssa Ramos) who lived all her life with her widowed father Tatang (Ronnie Lazaro) at the mountaintop in Ilocos Sur found herself at the doorstep of reaching her dreams – to be a performer. Despite of the disapproval of his Tatang, she pushed every situation to its limit in order to achieve her dream. 
 
"WORLD IPIS" by Kristine Joyce P. Barrameda and Joana Carla Ubaldo 
 
A film about love, faith, hope, courage, friendship, modesty, honesty, cleanliness, orderliness, beautification, politeness, respect, education, mass destruction, eternity and beyond, acceptance, survival, heroism, bravery, loyalty, death and the meaning of life.  
 
"LIGAW / STRAY LOVE" BY Pamela Ll. Reyes

"PRINCESS URDUJA" by Tiffanie M. Ang
