Big Eyes

The idea of capturing a picture of every young people in our youth organization in the church came to my mind in order to edify the people what kind of kids we have. One that struck me the most is John Benedict Tabil, a member of the Integral Youth Ministry. I also used to call him “BIG EYES” when I tease him.

I had been a leader in the organization for years now.

I have heard many stories about him and he even shared some. I did not expect much from. He laughs like a crazy kid, talks about something unrelated, rolls his big eyeballs. He is tall, thin with dark skin. At first, I judged him. But I admire his personality. I encouraged him to serve the church.

He served as a VOLUNTEER during the elections for Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV). His mom accompanied him until he has handed the election returns to the central office.

He is also a member of the church choir. He has a tenor classical male singing voice, one of the highest of the male voice types.  JB sings soulfully. He never disparaged himself because of his physical appearance. He has the courage show his talent.

A man of worth. A man who has a wholehearted devotion to God.  JB should not be judged by his looks but by his works. There is much more to him than his appearance.

We should appreciate the attractiveness God has given us as His most complex and incredible creation. God crafted each of us to look exactly as we do, for His own perfect reasons.
