The second word most important word that turned his world around was "grandma" for it was when his grandmother sent him a fax letter and asked for him to visit her as she may not have much time left to live. NAME: TANYA DIAZ
NICKNAME: TANYA
AGE:  27
BIRTHDAY:
ORIGIN:
OCCUPATION: BUSINESS WRITER, BAND VOCALIST

Flashback 20-something years ago, a kindergarten little girl would go to school in her kuya's car. They would listen to Megadeath, or Alice In Chains throughout the drive. At four, her lullabye was hard rock and she probably knew how to do a headbang.

Tanya admits that it was her family who influenced her to embrace music, while it was her three brothers who influenced her to listen to hardcore rock. Her mother, now in her 60's, is an active music producer, her father is a music enthusiast. Her eldest brother was a drummer, her second older brother is a tenor, and her third elder brother is currently one of her bandmates.

This "metal" chic tried living the corporate life, she had a job as a Marketing Director for an international fashion line. Later on her career, Tanya realized she wasn't into marketing nor into fashion. Realizing that, she went to the UK and studied Business Writing, finished the course and then moved back to the Philippines.

While she writes for a living today, it is undeniable that Tanya's heart is still with music. She doesn't mind playing at gigs after a long day of writing. Tanya joins The Voice of the Philippines to honor her late brother- the brother who drove her to school when she was a toddler- so that she maybe able to continue his legacy in the passion they share.
