AGE: 25

Singing was her secret talent. Was, because now the whole nation knows how amazing Kai Honasan's voice is.

At an early age, Kai and her siblings was exposed to music. Her mom sent them to learn the piano. Thus, her siblings grew up to be musicians by profession. Kai felt the pressure to be as good as her siblings when it comes to music, so she opted to keep rehearsing on her own. To add to the pressure, one of her brothers married a musician- Barbie Almalbis, all the more reason why Kai kept her voice hush hush in their household.

Kai's talent's big reveal was not her choice. Her brother filmed Kai's first public performance and uploaded it on Youtube. Her parents saw the video and got shocked by how awesome she can sing.

Apart from playing 5-6 gigs a week, Kai works as an Artists Relations Manager for Amplify. She used to be a ukulele teacher and taught the Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo as her first student. Kai was also able to release a solo independent album featuring some of her original compositions.

Kai's father, Senator Gringo Honasan, always told her that one day the plot would shift and he would be known as "Kai's Father" instead of Kai being "Gringgo's daughter" or "the senator's daughter". Also at 9 years, this young man was taught how to use saklay or crutches so that he could wander on his own. In Karlo's words, that might have been his parents' biggest mistake as he learned to wander far from home to bond with friends and/or play his music.
