Marian Rivera announced on Friday that she has left her manager, Popoy Caritativo, of seven years, citing the move as imperative to her "freedom" to make career decisions independently.
Rivera, who is one of the most visible leading ladies of her home network, GMA-7, said her career is now under the management of showbiz veteran Tony Tuviera, who was her manager for a time before she became a talent of Caritativo's firm, Luminary Talent Management.
Under Tuviera's management, Rivera said she is set to negotiate her contract with GMA-7, which will expire in August this year. She added that she is open to the possibility of working under different TV networks.
Asked which network she prefers to transfer to, should the opportunity arise, Rivera said, "Sa August po, magkita-kita tayo kung saan ako pupunta."
