'Ang Sugo (The Last Messenger)' to be shown in Cannes Film Festival?

Iglesia Ni Cristo is planning to submit the upcoming historic movie "Ang Sugo (The Last Messenger)" to the Cannes Film Festival.

The movie which will feature the three generations of INC leadership beginning from the time it was founded in 1914. Richard Gomez was chosen to portray the role of  Iglesia Ni Cristo's first Executive Minister Felix Manalo. The movie also stars Albert Martinez (the late Eraño Manalo who took leadership of the INC in the 1950s after Felix Manalo) and Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. (Eduardo Manalo, the current Executive Minister of INC).

The film submitted will have a chance to be viewed and judged by members of the film production community. 

Founded in 1946, the Cannes Film Festival is one of the most prestigious, invitation-only film festivals in the world. It is held annually at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.

The film is also eyeing for Guinness World Records 'Largest Premiere'


The epic movie will premiere in Iglesia Ni Cristo Sports Complex in Ciudad de Victoria on July 27, 2014.

100,000 people will flock to the premiere. It will be shown in movie theaters nationwide.

He attended two National Leadership Training for the Student Government Officers, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, Youth for Environment Summer Camp, Science Leaders Congress and Schools Press Conference. Joined and won in the several contests from their school to the national level.

He is the organist and an officer of the Church of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo).
Paul is a BS Accountancy student at the Northwestern University. He works for CBAA Biznews and  The Blog of Innocence: SilentVoice Points. He is the College Editors Guild of the Philippines-Ilocos Chairperson. CEGP is the oldest and broadest intercollegiate alliance of student publications in the Asia-Pacific.
