1 dead as Myanmar ship sinks off Pangasinan

At least one passenger was reported dead in the sinking of a Myanmar vessel off Pangasinan on Sunday, February 17.
 
MV Arita Bauxite sank off the town of Bolinao at 9 am, Philippine Coast Guard spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Armand Balilo said over radio dzBB. Seven were injured, while 14 others are missing.

Balilo said initial reports showed the ship encountered engine problems. 

Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
