Think Change 2: North Luzon Youth Summit 2013

The Filipino youth has continuously emerged as the champions of change.

From the young datus and tribal leaders of the pre-Spanish period to of Andres Bonifacio and Jose Rizal, the youth has shown their vitality and defined the true meaning of patriotism.

Also, as a result of the militant struggle of the youth during the martial law era, the then newly formed democratic Philippine government recognized the invaluable function of the youth in nation building in the 1987 Constitution.

In this regard, we invite you to Think Change 2: North Luzon Youth Summit 2013 on January 26-27, 2013 at Teacher’s Camp in Baguio City.

Think Change 2 is a gathering of the best and brightest young leaders from all over North Luzon to forge unity among different challenges that they confront and to exhaust all possible forms of legislation to advance their recommendations.

Also, we would like to harness and direct the initiatives and energies of the youth not only to actively participate but also to promote a clean, peaceful and honest 2013 elections. This will serve as an avenue to hear and consider the voices, ideas and perspectives of young people of North Luzon thus contribute to social transformation, democracy and good governance.

The first day will be allotted in formulating the North Luzon Youth Agenda while the second day will be focused on regional caucuses (Ilocos, Cordillera and Cagayan Valley) and of nationwide alliances National Union of Students of the Philippines (for student councils/governments) and College Editors Guild of the Philippines (for student publications).

Attached is the program, confirmation sheet and CHED endorsement for your reference. We advise you to submit the confirmation sheet on or before January 23, 2013.
