Zac Efron raves about the Philippines on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’

Hollywood actor Zac Efron seemed to have really enjoyed his stay in the Philippines as he could not stop talking about his recent trip when he guested on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Speaking to DeGeneres, Efron shared the activities he did in Legazpi City, Albay before he had his fan conference in Manila last weekend.

“Since we got there, they put us on a helicopter and flew us to the top of a volcano. It was sort of a surprise. We got on these (all terrain vehicles) ATVs and we rode up the lava fields, up the trails of lava that flowed down a volcano, to the top of an active volcano. We had lunch on top of a volcano,” he recalled jubilantly.

Efron further shared how touched he was that some girls still recognized him even if they were "near the jungle."

“Believe it or not, we were in the middle of this base of a volcano near the jungle and still, even there, some fans came running out of the jungle. It was these two super cute little girls that just showed up. I couldn’t believe it. We hadn’t seen a face in like 30 miles and we’re on the ATVs, and out of nowhere, they just come running out, jumping and screaming,” he said.

In his earlier interview when he was still in Manila, Efron said he came to the Philippines not knowing what to expect. But the “High School Musical” actor said he left the country bringing with him memories from “the best trip of his life.”

“I’m so happy to finally be here. I’ve had the best trip of my life. Thank you for embracing me with open arms, such kindness. I cannot wait to come back,” he said.

Efron stayed in the country for less than a week. But despite his short stay, Efron said he is delighted to have finally visited the Philippines.
