UNP-CBAA Biznews: 3-Day Photo Exhibit and Petition Signing for NO TO MINING IN ILOCOS REGION Campaign

The CBAA Biznews, in line with its commitment to train advocates of development and innovations through knowledge and to achieve one of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals by promoting environmental sustainability, with the aim to be a human resource development center in order to create an abode of respected leaders and professionals, will be conducting a 3-Day Photo Exhibit and Petition Signing for ’No to Mining in Ilocos Region’ Campaign on August 9-10, 2012 (8:00 am - 5:00 pm) at the Jesus Villamor Hall, Encarnacion Building, University of Northern Philippines, Vigan City.

The said activity is intended:
1. to impart to the students prerequisite knowledge and skills for ensuring environmental sustainability;
2. to equip the youth and the Ilocano people with knowledge on the issue of the mining in Ilocos Region;
3. to teach them how to be a responsible human being, not only for themselves but also for society.
4. to promote ‘Vigan for New7Wonders CITIES’ Campaign;
5. to introduce ILOCOS JOURNALS blogsite and encourage student writers to contribute articles and photos; and
6. to launch the Millennium Development Goals Online Photo Contest.
